Top 6 things heard on a Webex conference
- The plugin will not load on my browser.
- What’s the meeting number?
- I can’t find the link to the meeting?
- Is there a password for this meeting?
- No, I don’t see your desktop, I just see a screen of black and yellow?
- Can you just send a PDF of the slides?
Cisco is buying Webex for a reported 3.2 billion dollars, I hope they fix it. In interim, if you are giving a presentation could you send just send me the PDF in advance. Thanks.
Dude,
Quit stealing my material! Good observations as you know me, the Technology Dinosaur, has always found WebEx to be a nuisance and almost unusable.
Unbelievable to me that they could get that much money. Just think what you get if you really solved this problem.
Hi Brandon and Panda,
This is Karel Lukas from Yugma. I invite you both to check out Yugma at http://www.yugma.com . We have completely focused on eliminating the complexity and costs associated with web conferencing and real-time collaboration over the web. We’ve worked hard to tackle all of the issues you bring up. Give us a try. I hope you like what we’ve done and recommend us to others. Also, stay tuned,… we have some great new features in our next few releases this year.
Best regards,
Karel Lukas

Thanks Karel. I will have to check it out. My first impression is that your service uses applets. I have to admit, I have come to hate client-side browser applets… I will have to dig more into to see what it can do.
Panda,
I think a web site that let you upload a PDF would be enough ro say 80% of the webexes I am on.
