I saw a Tivo Series 3 at Best Buy. It's an awesome device. I hope they offer a satellite version some day...

I've got a Series 3 Tivo but I only use it for OTA channels and basic cable. It's a perfect fit for me and would be a good fit for someone with Time Warner's Digital Cable but Tivo doesn't yet have a hi-def model that works with STB / satellite.

It is definitely nice to have the award winning Tivo UI and a beautiful HD picture, but the price tag is steep and not all the S2 capabilities are enabled yet (TivoToGo, Multiroom Viewing being the big ones). I'm betting on the possibility that these features will be enabled and movie downloads too (someday).
