Whenever I hear the word committee, I cringe. It makes me think of The Office and the party planning committee. I know some companies are starting to have scrum/agile committees, which offers yet another definition of true irony. Most of all I hate hearing about Senate Committees.

Most committees are doomed because of three things: they are reactive, they preserve the status quo, and they are powerless. The next time you attend a committee meeting, thinking about bringing a motion to adjourn it.
