Freedbacking Technorati: Buried Features
Have you seen the new Technorati site? I admit, I wasn’t much of Technorati user before the 3.0 release. Whenever I visited the site, I just felt lost. I never took much time to see what it offered. The new site has a clean look and search is much more prominent. I have discovered many old and existing features in the last few days. Kudos to team Technorati.
I have done countless demos of software where someone says “that’s great, I never knew it did that.” It’s sad how much stuff is buried deep down in the bowels of an application.
I know product managers get obsessed with new features, guilty as charged. Sometimes it is as simple as surfacing an old or existing feature in the UI. Guess what, it’s like adding a new a feature, since it’s new to most of the users…
