Looks like BarCampAustin has morphed into BarCampTexas. This is a great idea, more people, more presentations, and hopefully even more fun. I attended the first BarCampAustin, here are some suggestions for the next one:

  1. Guarantee a few presenters a slot. It seems like the first set of presentations is just total chaos. Why not have a few planned presentations lead off to get things going.
  2. Have a headliner. At the first BarCampAustinstin there was an Open Source Panel with some big names. It would be cool if there was something similar at the next one.
  3. Have more people pitch their wares. I’d like to see what more people are building. I’d encourage anyone to just do some demos. Maybe a demo bar or something?

From the wiki, it looks like BarCampTexas is shapping up to be a great event. One last self-serving suggestion, have it in Austin!
